The UAE and Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding worth $5 billion to support demining efforts in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The agreement was signed by the UAE's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammed Murad Al Blooshi and Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of Azerbaijan's Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).
This initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to global humanitarian efforts, building on its past support for demining projects in countries like Iraq, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.
Through financial and technical support, the UAE aims to alleviate civilian suffering and promote sustainable development in affected regions.
