The UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced on Wednesday that students and staff in all public and private higher education institutions will resume in-person learning starting Monday, April 20.
In a statement shared with ARN, the ministry stated that the decision follows the completion of extensive measures, including updated safety and security protocols, preparation of campus buildings and facilities, and strengthened readiness of staff.
The ministry added that certain private institutions have the flexibility to implement the hybrid or remote model in accordance with approved regulations.
It noted that it will continue to monitor the application of the operational plans to ensure a smooth return to in-person learning.
The ministry also emphasised that higher education institutions will remain prepared to transition to alternative learning modes when neccessary.
