The UAE has welcomed a joint international statement on Sudan, reaffirming support for a peaceful, democratic and stable future for the African nation.
The UAE praised regional and international efforts to end the conflict, including the outcomes of the recent Berlin Conference and calls for a comprehensive political process led by civilians.
The country also reiterated its support for initiatives aimed at securing a humanitarian truce and a permanent ceasefire, while ensuring the protection of civilians and the delivery of much-needed aid.
The UAE welcomed ongoing diplomatic efforts, including consultations held in Addis Ababa earlier this month, aimed at advancing dialogue among Sudanese parties.
It stressed the importance of political solutions and an inclusive civilian-led transition that reflects the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, stability and a better future.
