The UAE has welcomed a European Union-sponsored plan aimed at normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs and UAE's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, commended the implementation agreement, noting that it represents an important step towards strengthening regional and international peace and security.
She emphasised the UAE’s support for international law, respect for the sovereignty of states, non-interference in internal affairs, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
“The UAE believes in the necessity of building bridges of cooperation and dialogue to resolve disputes and enhance confidence in a way that brings together multiple points of view,” she explained.
Ambassador Nusseibeh added that the UAE enjoys deep-rooted relations with Serbia and Kosovo and looks forward to strengthening cooperation to achieve common interests.
