The UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, has met with the United Nations’ Special Envoy for Yemen. They met to discuss the efforts being made to facilitate a meeting between the Yemeni government and rebels. In discussions His Excellency said the UAE backs the current international efforts in the war torn country and a political solution that is founded on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 2216. Earlier it was announced that the UAE’s latest aid campaign in Yemen has benefited 181,000 families in the province of Hadramawt.
