Champions League: City claim late win over Sevilla as United held by CSKA

Kevin de Bruyne’s injury-time goal gave Man City a vital 2-1 victory over Sevilla. His 91st minute finish from Yaya Toure’s pass completed a come-from-behind win for Manuel Pellegrini’s men, after Yevhen Konoplyanka put the visitors ahead half an hour in. City quickly levelled matters when Wilfried Bony’s close-range effort deflected in off Adil Rami, before de Bruyne secured a second consecutive late winner in Europe’s premier competition. It puts City second in Group D, a point behind Juventus, who were held to a 0-0 draw by Borussia Monchengladbach. Real Madrid’s visit to Paris Saint Germain also ended goalless, while Malmo beat Shaktar Donetsk 1-0 in Group A’s other game. Meanwhile, Anthony Martial’s 65th minute strike gave Man United a share of the points against CSKA Moscow, after Seydou Doumbia had given the hosts a first-half lead. However, United have now been overtaken at the top of Group B by Wolfsburg, who beat PSV 2-0. Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid eased to a 4-0 win over Astana and Galatasary overcame Benfica 2-0 in Group C.
