New Zealand maintain unbeaten run in Cricket World Cup

New Zealand have returned to the top of the points table in the ICC Cricket World Cup after beating South Africa by four wickets.

The Black Caps restricted their opponents to 241 for 6 and then reached the target with three balls remaining.

Captain Kane Williamson remained unbeaten on 106 to see his team through the chase.

The match was reduced to 49 overs a side after a delayed start due to rain.

Hashim Amla top-scored for South Africa with 55, but it was Rassie van der Dussen (67 not out) and David Miller (36) who helped the team accelerate during the tail end of the innings.

In their chase, New Zealand also struggled to get the momentum and were reduced to 137-5 in 32.2 overs, but Colin de Grandhomme (60) came to the rescue and put up a 91-run stand with Williamson.

This win ensured that the Kiwis remain unbeaten in the World Cup.
