Frontline heroes fighting against COVID-19 will be honored through commemorative medals.

The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) will be giving the medals to winners at upcoming sports events in the emirate.

The medals are a token of appreciation for healthcare workers' selfless services as they work tirelessly to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

They will feature artwork depicting staff from Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Health Authority and First Responders of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

In the past, the medals contained some of Dubai's famous landmarks, such as the Dubai Frame and Burj Khalifa.
