Dubai Basketball claimed a 102-74 victory over Croatia’s Cibona on Saturday night, improving their ABA League record to an impressive 5-1.

Head Coach Jurica Golemac praised his team for their dominant performance, which saw them control the game from start to finish in Zagreb.

After Ahmet Düverioğlu sank two free throws just 13 seconds in, Dubai raced ahead, ending the first quarter with a commanding 35-17 lead - one of the highest single-quarter scores of the season.

Cibona struggled without their key point guards, Roko Rogić and Krešo Radovčić, failing to contain Dubai’s relentless offence.

By the end of the third quarter, Dubai had established a massive 29-point lead, 81-52. They made history by surpassing the 100-point mark late in the final quarter, a first for the franchise, thanks to a two-pointer from JaCorey Williams.

Williams is currently ranked second in the ABA League for "Points in the Paint."

Former NBA star Davis Bertans led the scoring with 17 points, showcasing his shooting prowess from beyond the arc with 5 of 8 from three-point range. He now ranks second in the league for three-pointers made.

Emerging star Thirdy Ravena also made an impact, contributing on both offence and defence during his 10 minutes on the court, marking his first steal, assist, and rebound of the season while keeping pressure on Cibona’s players.

This victory ties Dubai Basketball for second place in the ABA League standings, trailing only Partizan Mozzart, whom they will face on Sunday, November 10.

Looking ahead, Dubai Basketball will hit the road again next weekend, traveling to Montenegro for Game Seven against Studentski Centar Derby on Saturday, November 2, at 10:00 PM UAE time.
