Australian Eddie Jones has been confirmed as England’s first foreign rugby union head coach. The 55-year-old has signed a four-year contract, starting in December, to succeed Stuart Lancaster who left the post last week following England’s disastrous World Cup campaign on home soil. Jones guided Japan to three wins at the World Cup, including a historic victory over South Africa. The Rugby Football Union has had to get Cape Town-based Stormers to release Jones from his contract.
