Gujarat Titans returned to winning ways in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a six-wicket victory over Punjab Kings, in Mohali.

The defending champions restricted Punjab to 153 for eight and then reached the target with 1 ball remaining.

Medium pacer Mohit Sharma marked his comeback with figures of 2 for 18 and Shubman Gill scored 67 (49 balls) to help set up the win.

Sharma, playing in his first game in the league since 2020, was declared player of the match.

The game also saw Punjab's pacer Kagiso Rabada become the fastest to reach 100 wickets in the IPL, when he dismissed Wriddhiman Saha (30 off 19 balls).

The South African took just 64 games to reach the landmark, six matches fewer than Lasith Malinga's 70.
