India clinch New Zealand series after Super Over win

India have clinched the Twenty20 International series against New Zealand following a thrilling victory in the third game in Hamilton.

The match was settled in the Super Over after both the teams scored 179.

India hit 20 runs in the eliminator, in response to New Zealand’s 18, with Rohit Sharma striking two sixes off the last two balls.  

The visitors had earlier posted a competitive 179-5, thanks to Sharma's 65 and Virat Kohli's 38.

In reply, the Black Caps lost Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor in the last over to finish at 179-6 and tie the match. 

India now have an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
