New Zealand have won their T20 International series against Sri Lanka after winning a thriller in Kandy late Tuesday.

The tourists successfully chased down their target of 162 with just two balls remaining in the match.

Colin de Grandhomme and Tom Bruce both hit half-centuries to help the Blackcaps reach their target.

The win gives them an unassailable 2-0 series lead going into the last match on Friday.
