Hosted by the UAE, the T20I Tri-Series officially began on Friday, with Pakistan leading the first two matches against the UAE and Afghanistan at the Sharjah cricket stadium.
Pakistan and Afghanistan opened the series on Friday, August 29, with Pakistan defeating Afghanistan by 39 runs, with Pakistan scoring 182/7 against Afghanistan's 143.
In its second match, Pakistan also defeated the UAE with a margin of 31 runs, scoring 207 against UAE's 176/8.
The third match of the seven-match series will continue on Monday at 7:00 pm between the UAE and Afghanistan.
Group matches will continue through September 5, with the grand finale to take stage on September 7.
The Tri-Series will prepare the teams ahead of the ACC Asia Cup 2025, also taking place in the UAE from September 9.
