Premier League: Chelsea deny Arsenal top spot, Swansea gifts win to new coach

Arsenal missed their chance to return to the top of the Premier League table after losing 1-0 at home to Chelsea. The Gunners were reduced to 10 men in the 18th minute when defender Per Mertesacker was sent off for a challenge on Chelsea striker Diego Costa. Arsenal's defeat leaves them in third spot, three points behind leaders Leicester City, while title-holders Chelsea have moved up to 13th. Meanwhile, Swansea beat Everton 2-1, to give new coach Francesco Guidolin victory in his first game in charge. The Welsh side are now four points clear of the relegation zone.
