NULL

Chelsea suffered a seventh defeat from 12 Premier League games, as Marko Arnautovic gave Stoke a 1-0 win at the Brittania. The forward finished acrobatically in the 53rd minute, to increase the pressure on Blues boss Jose Mourinho, who wasn’t there after receiving a stadium ban for his behaviour in the loss at West Ham last month. Chelsea drop to 16th, just three points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Stoke move up to 12th, overtaking West Brom, who lost 2-0 at Manchester United. United broke through a stubborn Baggies defence on 52 minutes, with the young winger Jesse Lingard curling in from the edge of the area. Juan Mata then converted a penalty in stoppage time, after Gareth McAuley fouled Anthony Martial.Louis van Gaal’s men remain in 4th, just behind Leicester, who continued their remarkable campaign so far with a 2-1 defeat of Watford, in which Jamie Vardy scored for a ninth consecutive game.Elsewhere, Newcastle’s 1-0 win at Bournemouth moved them out of the relegation zone at their opponent’s expense, West Ham and Everton shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Upton Park, Norwich claimed a crucial 1-0 home win over Swansea, and Southampton took all three points from their trip to Sunderland, thanks to a penalty by Dusan Tadic.
