The UAE has secured the Presidency of the Arab Parliament following an election at the HQ of the Arab League in Cairo on Saturday. Mohammed Ahmad Al Yamahi, a member of the Federal National Council (FNC), will preside over the Parliament.

The UAE has strongly condemned Israel's military strikes on Iran, expressing deep concern over the continued escalation and its repercussions on regional security and stability.

UAE airline flydubai canceled flights to Jordan, Iran, Iraq and Israel and diverted others on Saturday, a company spokesperson said, shortly after Israel struck military targets in Iran.
