Four retail outlets have been fined in Dubai during the latest round of inspections to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 safety protocols.

Three of them were pulled up for their employees’ lack of commitment to wearing masks while the fourth one was found violating physical distancing guidelines.

Warnings were also issued to 18 other commercial establishments for not placing enough physical distancing stickers.

A total of 691 outlets were found to be fully compliant with the precautionary measures during the latest field visits carried out by Dubai Economy on Monday.

The authority has stressed that the inspections are aimed at educating establishments about the importance of complying with the rules, in order to ensure the continuity of their business as well as the safety of their employees and customers.
