Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has launched a one-on-one consultation service with specialised advisors to help Emirati families enrolling their children in private schools for the first time.
The new service, called Girnas Educational Advisor, will see advisors guide Emirati parents in selecting a school that aligns with their aspirations, values, and practical considerations such as location, fees, curriculum, and individual learning needs.
It will also offer AI-backed Chatbot assistance for the wider parent community in Dubai.
"Initiatives like these help parents make confident, informed decisions about the best schools and curricula for their children, ensuring every learner in Dubai has access to education that meets the highest standards of quality and care," said Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA.
Girnas was unveiled during the first day of KHDA's inaugural Education Expo series that aims to offer Emirati parents the best private education options. It can be accessed through KHDA’s website and mobile app, using the UAE Pass.
The two-day Education Expo saw the participation of more than 60 private schools and early childhood centres and the enrollment of nearly 400 Emirati parents on the first day.
“Empowering Emirati families to develop a meaningful and personalised learning journey for their child is central to our E33 strategy and the Pathway Partners initiative," added Dr Amna Almaazmi, CEO of Growth and Human Development at KHDA.
"This service demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting Emirati families at every stage of their educational journey, and Education Expo 2025 is among many initiatives that bring parents, schools, and the wider community together to strengthen these partnerships."
