Dubai residents report high levels of happiness, safety and social cohesion, according to the latest Social Survey by the Community Development Authority (CDA).
The findings show 95 per cent of residents consider Dubai their preferred place to live, while overall life satisfaction stands at 8.72 out of 10.
The eighth Social Survey for 2024 to 2025 highlights strong family bonds, growing community engagement and widespread access to services, reinforcing Dubai’s progress in building a stable and inclusive society.
Officials say the results support the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 2033 and align with the UAE’s 'Year of Family', with a clear focus on strengthening social ties and quality of life.
The CDA's Director-General Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid said the survey acts as a key strategic tool, helping shape policies by analysing social trends and anticipating future needs.
She added that the findings confirm Dubai’s steady progress, with people and families at the centre of development priorities.
The survey measures seven key areas, including quality of life, family cohesion, social inclusion, financial well-being and digital access, offering a comprehensive picture of life across the emirate.

The happiness rate among senior citizens stood at nearly 87 per cent, reflecting strong support across all segments of society.
Family cohesion remains a cornerstone, with the Family Bond Index reaching over 95 per cent. Social support is also high, with 84 per cent of residents saying they have someone to rely on in times of need.
Community engagement is on the rise, with volunteerism increasing significantly to over 13 per cent, pointing to a growing culture of giving and social responsibility.
More than 90 per cent of People of Determination report feeling integrated into society, while a similar proportion say they have access to education and essential services, highlighting Dubai’s inclusive environment.
Digital connectivity is also near universal, with almost 99 per cent of residents reporting internet access at home.
Authorities say the survey uses advanced analytical tools to deliver deeper insights, with results now available through an interactive dashboard to support transparent, data-driven decision-making.
Overall, the findings provide a strong foundation for future social policies, aimed at enhancing quality of life and strengthening community wellbeing across Dubai.
