The UAE airlines have resumed services to London's Heathrow airport, a day after a fire knocked out its power supply disrupting regular operations for a day.
The temporary closure of London Heathrow led to several flights being delayed or cancelled, affecting thousands of passengers globally.
In an update posted on its official website, Dubai's Emirates Airline confirmed they "will resume flight operations starting with flight EK07 (DXB‑LHR) on March 22".
"Customers connecting onwards to London Heathrow Airport with confirmed bookings will be accepted to travel from the point of origin," the airline added.
The UAE national carrier, Etihad Airways, said it "will progressively resume its full flight schedule between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow on Saturday, March 22".
Passengers have been advised to check their flight status on the airline's official websites. "London Heathrow is expected to be very busy on Saturday, 22 March, and customers are advised to allow extra time ahead of their flights," Etihad added.
Travellers impacted by Friday's disruptions are advised to contact the booking agents of the UAE carriers for assistance.
