His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has thanked the UAE delegation at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai for "sharing our story with the world".
Posting images from his visit to Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, Sheikh Mohammed described the team behind the UAE pavilion as "unsung heroes" who "travel the world to share our story, identity, culture and passion for the future" and "make new friends for our country every day".
Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, he said, welcomes "more than 15,000 people daily".
"Our relationship with Japan dates back to 1972, and today, our ties with all nations are strong through our global participation and hosting of international events," Sheikh Mohammed added.
I also met today with our unsung heroes and our delegation at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, who welcome over 15,000 visitors daily, sharing our story with the world and making new friends for our country every day.

Sheikh Mohammed said he was "impressed by the design of our national pavilion, inspired by the palm tree, which reimagines the traditional 'Arish' - the old homes built from palm fronds and trunks".
His Highness said the UAE pavilion "embodies our commitment to our authentic past and our passion for the future" and "showcases our space projects, future initiatives in the health sector, and our progress in sustainability projects".
Sheikh Mohammed thanked all those who've worked on the UAE pavilion, with a special mention for Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed for overseeing its "design and development" and for "presenting it to the world with her usual brilliance".
Today, I was delighted to visit Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, and I was even more thrilled to visit the UAE pavilion at the exhibition.

The UAE pavilion was unveiled at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai on April 8.
Located within the Empowering Lives Zone, the UAE Pavilion presents a bold vision of collective progress through its theme, 'Earth to Ether'.
More than an architectural landmark or national exhibit, the pavilion is an invitation to collaborate. It invites the world to engage with the UAE’s ideas, values and ambitions, and to explore how a country rooted in heritage is helping shape a flourishing future for all life on our planet and beyond.
