Having a fever and suffering from shortness of breath are two main symptoms for the new coronavirus.
That's according to The Dubai Health Authority (DHA), which also said the virus has pneumonia-like traits.
Officials from the health authority have urged people to avoid contact with animals and people suffering from respiratory problems.
They also advised travelers to either wash their hands regularly for 20 seconds or to use alcohol sterilisers.
The DHA took to social media to offer passengers some top tips if they are heading to areas hit by the flu-like virus.
