The UAE has condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which was the targeting of tents for displaced persons in Rafah, resulting in the killing and wounding of dozens of civilians.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) underscored the importance of reaching an immediate ceasefire, providing protection for civilians and preventing further loss of life.
It stressed the need for Israel to comply with the International Court of Justice's recent ruling that called for an end to military operations in Rafah, as well as the necessity of keeping the Rafah crossing open for the distribution of humanitarian aid.
The Ministry urged the international community to intensify efforts to halt escalation in all the regions of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and to ensure the arrival of aid without impediment to the Gaza Strip.
