President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a law amending the Family Development Foundation (FDF)’s mandate to enhance family stability and support the elderly.
The new law assigns FDF's key responsibilities, including:
- Developing guidance and awareness programs for the elderly.
- Providing social services such as home care and support for caretakers.
- Offering volunteering opportunities for the elderly and creating social clubs to promote their wellbeing.
- Creating databases of the elderly and conducting research on related issues.
This law aims to improve the quality of life for elderly citizens and strengthen family structures in Abu Dhabi.
