Heavy rain has been forecast for several parts of the UAE this weekend, with forecasters saying the unstable spell will last until Monday.
In a video posted on the National Centre of Meteorology's official Twitter page, forecaster Amna Al Zaabi explained that the condition is expected to intensify with "chances of hail, as well as lightning and thunder at times".
Strong winds will also impact visibility levels, with motorists urged to exercise caution on the roads.
"We are also expecting a decrease in temperatures, especially over the mountain highlands [of the northern emirates] and a probability of frost formation," Al Zaabi said.
