Abu Dhabi inflation rate sees 1.2% hike in August

Abu Dhabi’s inflation rate registered an increase of 1.2% last month, compared to July. Data from the Statistics Centre shows a rise in consumer prices in both citizen and expat households. The jump was mainly driven by the cost of transport, food and beverages. The hike has been observed across mainland Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western region.
