Dubai ranks among the world’s top-5 favourite cities for millionaires, with 2,000 of them moving to the emirate last year. That’s according to research firm New World Wealth’s latest report, which shows the emirate is currently home to 42,000 millionaires, while the UAE as a whole has 72,000. Dubai drew a large chunk of wealthy individuals from North African nations and Turkey in 2015. Globally, Sydney and Melbourne were the top destinations for migrating millionaires, while France and China accounted for the biggest outflows.
