DXB handles record 7.3 million passengers in January

Dubai International (DXB) has started the year on a record-breaking note, welcoming more than 7.3 million passengers in January. That’s an increase of 6.3% from the same period last year and also beats the previous milestone of 7.2 million travellers set in August 2015. North America was the fastest-growing market, while destinations in India, Saudi Arabia and the UK accounted for the bulk of passenger numbers. Freight volume and overall aircraft movement also registered growth during the month.
