Emirates marks record annual profits with 22-week staff bonus

Dubai's Emirates Airline has announced a 22-week salary bonus for its employees to mark its best annual profits in its history, becoming the world’s most profitable airline.

On Thursday, the airline recorded its highest-ever annual profit of AED 21.2 billion, marking 20 per cent increase from last year.

The carrier recorded revenue of AED 127.9 billion, an increase of 6 per cent over last year, and highest-ever level of cash assets at AED 49.7 billion, marking 16 per cent higher compared to March 31, 2024.  

Emirates Group released its 2024-25 annual report, reporting its most profitable year ever on the back of strong demand across its businesses.

In a post on social media, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated the 121,000 members of the Emirates Group for the achievement.

"Emirates is not just a transport company; it is a tool for economic transformation for the UAE, a strategic bridge connecting the world’s continents, and a developmental carrier flying us through the skies toward the future," Sheikh Mohammed wrote.
