Vehicle parking at major events in Dubai will be charged at AED 25 an hour coming into effect on Monday, parking company Parkin confirmed.

The new variable tariff applies at spots near concerts, festivals, conferences and exhibitions across the Emirate. Affected zones codes are 335X, 336X and 337X.

The new fees are also in place in areas surrounding Dubai World Trade. Parkin confirmed, “Special event parking zones with adjusted rates will be activated to accommodate higher vehicle volumes.”

Parkin posted on its official social media saying: "Keen to say goodbye to blocked roads and full parking spots near concerts, festivals, conferences and exhibitions in Dubai? Get ready for a new variable tariff of AED 25 per hour, during event hours, on February 17. We recommend public transport, if you’re heading to an event zone."
