RTA to offer 300 exclusive license plates at auction

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is to offer 300 exclusive two, three, four, and five-digit license plates for private and vintage vehicles as well as motorcycles at its upcoming 78th e-auction.

The selection includes premium numbers across codes A, B, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z and the code (2) for motorcycles.   

Registration for the auction begins on Monday, February 10 and will remain open for five days only. The e-auction itself commences on February 17.

A 5 per cent VAT will apply to all purchases, and participants must have a valid traffic file in Dubai to be eligible.

To participate, bidders must provide a security deposit cheque of AED 5,000 payable to RTA and pay a non-refundable subscription fee of AED 120.

Payments can be made at Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or online at www.rta.ae.

Successful bidders will need to settle their payments within 10 working days after the auction concludes. Payments can be made in cash or via credit card at service provider centres or at RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres.
