Sheikh Tahnoon discusses latest advancements in AI with Musk, Ellison

His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, has discussed ways to expand collaboration in key sectors where AI can play a transformative role during talks with Elon Musk and Oracle CTO Larry Ellison.

Taking to his official handle on social media channel X, Sheikh Tahnoon said his discussions with Musk focused on the use of AI "in developing more agile and responsive government systems that prioritise innovation in service delivery".

Sheikh Tahnoon also welcomed Musk’s xAI and Nvidia joining the AI Infrastructure Partnership to power infrastructure growth.

“Artificial Intelligence is not just an industry of the future, it underpins the future. As we welcome new partners to the AI Infrastructure Partnership, we will accelerate innovation and technological breakthroughs to achieve transformational productivity gains across the global economy. Our singular focus is accelerating AI’s responsible and inclusive development for the benefit of humanity," he added. 

GE Vernova and NextEra Energy also announced their decision to collaborate with the partnership to accelerate the scaling of critical and diverse energy solutions for AI data centres.

The partnership will initially seek to unlock $30 billion (AED 110 billion) in capital from investors, asset owners, and corporations, which in turn will mobilise up to $100 billion (AED 367 billion) in total investment potential when including debt financing.

During his talks with the Co-Founder and CTO of Oracle, Sheikh Tahnoon "explored opportunities for collaboration and investment in AI". 

The two sides discussed the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and their transformative role in driving sustainability and enhancing quality of life, he said, adding, "We look forward to continuing our joint efforts with partners across key sectors, expanding strategic cooperation, and advancing innovation-driven solutions across various industries."
