WAM

On the opening day of the 19th Dubai Airshow, the UAE's Tawazun Council announced eight contracts worth over AED 3.77 billion on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

These include agreements with local and international companies to strengthen the UAE’s defence and security capabilities.

Six contracts with UAE firms total AED 3.04 billion, including major deals with Global Air Navigation Services, Global Aerospace Logistics, International Golden Group, Mximus Air and Abu Dhabi Shipping Agency, covering services from air navigation and technical support to aircraft and parachute provision.

International agreements include AED 512 million with Airbus Helicopters and AED 212 million with Embraer.

Tawazun officials say these partnerships reinforce the UAE’s position as a global hub for advanced defence technologies and innovation.

The 2025 Dubai Airshow is the largest yet, with a strong focus on sustainability, AI-driven solutions, advanced mobility and space exploration.
