UAE tops GCC market for construction professionals, says new survey

Construction continues around Sheikh Zayed Road on February 2, 2015 in Dubai.

The UAE remains the most popular Gulf market for construction professionals, according to a new salary survey. The Emirates remain the preferred destination for over half of 220 respondents polled in Construction Week magazine’s latest study, and is followed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The report also shows that majority of professionals who plan to move jobs expect to stay within the GCC. This is in contrast to the international law firm Pinsent Masons’ report yesterday, which revealed a sharp drop in optimism for the Gulf region’s construction sector.
