World's first unmanned cooling plant opens in Dubai

The world's first unmanned district cooling plant has now opened in Dubai.

Empower, the Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, launched the plant in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). 

The plant currently serves residents in 52 buildings in the area. 

Residents of 30 new buildings will be supplied with the new cooling services, which bring the total cooling capacity 49,000 refrigeration tonnes

The new plan will also help monitor and adjust the water flow to and from the cooling plant via Thermal Energy Storage.
