Adele's chart-topping 21 is officially Britain's top-selling album of the 21st century.

According to the Official Charts company, Amy Winehouse's 2006 album Back to Black came in second, while another Adele album, 2015's 25, got the third slot.

Ed Sheeran's x (multiply) and ÷ (divide), James Blunt's Back to Bedlam, Leona Lewis' Spirit, Michael Buble's Crazy Love, Dido's No Angel, and David Gray's White Ladder completed the top 10.

The 2011 work had earned Adele a record-tying six Grammys plus two Brits.

It's also had the most physical sales, digital downloads and streams of any album in the UK since the start of the 21st century.
