Cardi B has been formally charged with assault.

The American rapper, whose official name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanza, has been found guilty over an incident which took place in New York last August.

The 26-year-old was arrested in October for reportedly ordering an attack on two women.

The two women say they were injured when people associated with Cardi B threw bottles and chairs at them.
