Dr Dre returns home after receiving treatment for brain aneurysm

Dr Dre has been discharged from hospital after being treated for a brain aneurysm.

The American rapper and producer was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles, California on January 5.

His team later issued a statement saying that the hip-hop star, aged 55, was in stable condition.

Following his return, Dr Dre thanked family, friends and fans for their “interest and well wishes.”

"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team," his post read.

"I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"
