Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have announced the birth of their first child.

The couple said they were "floating with love and wonder" after their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom's "safe and healthy arrival".

The pair also shared a black-and-white picture of them holding her hand.

The couple shared the news on UNICEF's Twitter handle, and added that a donation page had been set up in Daisy's name to help new mothers and their children.

"Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines, and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever," they said in their statement.

"We hope your heart can bloom with generosity," they added.
