From a Sherlock Holmes-themed mystery zone to an interactive museum on dinosaur exploration, this year's Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival promises an interesting range of activities for the young minds.
Running across 12 days, the 16th edition will feature 122 publishers across 22 countries, alongside more than 200 writers, illustrators and cultural figures.
Organised by the Sharjah Book Authority at Expo Centre Sharjah, this year’s festival adopts the theme "Dive Into Books" and will include more than 30 panel discussions focusing on the state of children’s publishing, reading culture, and the challenges facing the global book industry.
In addition, the festival will conduct more than 600 workshops for all age groups, cooking demos, and over 150 sessions in a dedicated ‘Comics Corner’.
The festival will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., except on Fridays, when doors open at 4:00 p.m.
