Swift's next single due on August 16

Taylor Swift has announced the release date of the next track off her upcoming album.

The pop superstar said the title track 'Lover' will arrive on August 16.

The album will go on sale one week later.

The 29-year-old revealed the news on stage at the Teen Choice Awards, where she was honoured with the inaugural icon title.
