5 non-permanent members elected to the UN Security Council

The UN General Assembly elected Somalia, Pakistan, Panama, Greece and Denmark as five non-permanent members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the 2025-2026 term.

The elections were held on Thursday, June 6.

UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis congratulated the countries.
