Hurricane Dorian has made its presence felt in the Carolinas.

Both North and South Carolina have been hit with heavy rain, high winds and tornadoes.

Power has been cut to hundreds of thousands of people in the two states.

It comes days after the hurricane reduced parts of the Bahamas to rubble.

Hurricane Dorian is one of the largest Atlantic hurricanes ever recorded.

Forecasters say the peak impacts will arrive in North Carolina and southeastern Virginia on Friday.

Meanwhile, a tropical storm warning has been issued for parts of southeast Massachusetts.
