A Frenchman who allegedly killed his wife and four children back in 2011 has been arrested.

Xavier Dupont de Ligonnes was detained at Glasgow Airport after arriving from Paris.

He has been wanted since the remains of his family were found in the garden of their home.

Officials said inquiries were still ongoing to confirm his identity after it was found that he was flying under a false name.
