Wildfires in California worsen because of strong winds

California's wildfires are getting worse.

More people in the US state have been told to leave their homes as strong winds sweep across various cities.

Officials say the gusts could lead to the wildfires spreading.

A state of emergency has already been declared in Los Angeles, California's most populous city, and Sonoma counties.

Meanwhile, thousands of firefighters are still battling the blazes across the state.
