GURCAN OZTURK / AFP

The state of Georgia has been ordered to use paper ballots if its new voting system is not ready by 2020.

That's according to a US federal judge, who made the ruling on Thursday night.

The state must now be ready to use handmarked ballots in next year’s presidential primary.
