Two men have been arrested in Fujairah for robbing a woman of AED 195,000 she'd withdrawn from a bank.
In her report, filed on October 23, she said the men made way with the money after tricking her into getting out of her car over a false claim of a flat tyre.
A specialised team was put to task and within three hours the men were tracked down and detained, Fujairah Police said.
Further investigations revealed the men had carried out similar robberies in other Emirates.
They have been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
Fujairah Police urged residents to exercise caution when talking to strangers outside banks, and to report suspicious activities.
