Starting May 6, motorists will pay AED 2 per hour for standard parking in Mohamed Bin Zayed City's new commercial sectors ME9 and ME12.
The system, activated by Q Mobility, will be under supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC). Payments will be accepted through various digital channels, including the “Darb” and “TAMM” applications, SMSes, or payment machines.
This will cover 10,205 parking spaces - 3,219 spaces in ME9 and 6,986 spaces in ME12.
It will also include designated spaces for People of Determination.
The move is aimed at improving parking management in areas experiencing high traffic by reducing random parking and enhancing better access to commercial and service establishments, thereby supporting economic activity.
The parking system has been activated through three phases, with the first covering sectors ME9, ME10, ME11, and ME12 from December 15, 2025, for free of charge, initially. The second phase was launched on April 6, with paid parking activated in sectors ME10 and ME11, in addition to main street commercial areas in villa zones Z17-01, Z19, Z20, and Z27.
