Authorities in Abu Dhabi are reminding businesses and households to take all possible preventive measures against fires during the summer.
They have called on the public to turn off unused electrical devices and to carry out periodic checks on gas pipes, electric networks and equipment.
Other safety tips include not smoking near furniture or curtains and ensuring that gas cylinders are not exposed to direct sunlight.
The guidelines have been issued by Abu Dhabi Police, which has also stressed the importance of conducting regular maintenance on vehicles and ensuring the availability of a fire extinguisher.
